How this Red Shores guide gets made

Island Ticker is an independent guide to the two Red Shores halls, in Charlottetown and Summerside. This page tells you who writes it, how the facts were gathered and how the guide earns its money.

A group name, not a person

Every page here is signed by the Island Ticker writers. That is a group name, and no page carries a personal byline. The guide is not Red Shores, and it is not redshores.ca either.

Both halls are run by Atlantic Lottery on behalf of the PEI Lotteries Commission. This guide does not belong to Red Shores, Atlantic Lottery or the Commission, and none of them has a hand in it. You cannot place a bet here or open an account. It is reading for your evening out, written from the outside.

The woman in the drawings

The young woman with copper hair you see in the pictures is a drawn character, made for this guide. She is not a real person. She does not work for Red Shores, and she is not a player either. In the pictures she never gambles, and she carries no name. She is not the author of these pages.

Checking the facts

All content here was last verified on October 13, 2026, using the Red Shores pages at redshores.ca along with documents from the provincial government and its Lotteries Commission. Pages on gambling support from the province and pages from Atlantic Lottery were consulted as well. Some live pages turned away automated readers, so Internet Archive copies of those were used.

Distances come from OpenStreetMap town points. Each one is a straight line between two of them, not a road distance and not a door-to-door figure.

When Red Shores publishes nothing on a topic, such as a dress code, table minimums or accessibility, the guide says so and calls it unpublished. Forms, comments and accounts do not exist on this site. It stores only your choice of light or dark, and only inside the open browser tab.

Where the money comes from

The home page is the one place with paid links: three, each tagged Ad. All three lead to the same private online casino, which pays the guide when readers become its customers. It may change later, and it is its own company, neither alc.ca nor Red Shores. The online page sets out the province's position: offshore online casinos have no power to run gaming on PEI.

Quick answers

Does Red Shores pay for this guide?

Red Shores pays nothing toward it. Atlantic Lottery and the PEI Lotteries Commission have no hand in it either. The money comes from three Ad links on the home page, which lead to one private online casino.

Who is the woman drawn on these pages?

She is a character drawn for this guide, not a real person. She is not on staff at Red Shores, she is not a player, and she never gambles in the pictures.

How often are the hours checked again?

The last check of everything on these pages was on October 13, 2026. Holiday hours are not posted anywhere, so call the hall: 902-620-4222 in Charlottetown, 902-888-5666 in Summerside.
